The Words of Jesus
This book contains the words of Jesus Christ, the Son of God who is God himself. Jesus spoke to thousands of people during his three year ministry. The Bible captures Jesus’ teachings. Many Bibles highlight Jesus’ words in red lettering; those are the passages that are in this book.
The teachings of Jesus are not only captured in the four Gospels but also in the rest of The New Testament. In John 21:25, the disciple John wrote:
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written.
The New Testament further uncovers and explains the things that Jesus taught to his disciples and followers. The Old Testament also explains God’s promise to send his Son, Jesus, into the world to save us.
This book is not meant to be a comprehensive study of Jesus’ teachings. This book is meant to present Jesus’ words on their own. The teachings in this book are organized by the stories and sections, in The Bible, in which they are found. For more context surrounding these teachings, please refer to your Bible.
But also enjoy the words of Jesus as they are. They may be difficult to understand at first but keep reading them again and again. As you read more, you will learn more. God will help you to understand these things as your desire to learn increases.
Please read the rest of The Bible as well. The Bible will give you a fuller picture of Jesus, his teachings, and his incredible grace and mercy.
The Life And Teachings Of Jesus Christ In Bible Verse
This book contains the Gospel accounts of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
Unlike other books on this subject, this book contains the actual text from the Bible rather than a synopsis penned by a contemporary author. The goal of this book is to present, in a simple way, the stories and lessons from the life of Jesus while retaining the inspired Word of God. While this book and its stories are easy to navigate, none of the original text or meaning from these stories is lost.
This book is not meant to be a comprehensive study of Jesus’ life and teachings. One should read The Bible daily in order to better understand God’s plan of salvation for us and how he expects us to live. The New Testament has much to teach us about God’s love for us and His desire for us to live a life that is obedient to Him. The Old Testament provides a history of God’s interaction with people and many lessons that teach us the will of God.
So please, after reading this book, continue studying The Bible and let God’s Word inform your heart and direct your life.
Shopping For God
This book contains articles from the website, JesusForsinners.com.
The purpose of this book is to provide a basic understanding of why we need God and the sacrifice His Son, Jesus, made for all of us. This sacrifice is a free gift. It is nothing that we can earn. However, we must understand that we need this gift and we must understand why we need this gift.
This book provides that information. It also provides practical steps that one can take to live the kind of life that reflects our true understanding of what God has done for us through the sacrifice of His Son.
Verses To Live By
The Bible is the instruction manual for life…eternal life. It tells us about our sinful state, our need for forgiveness, and God’s love for us in sending His Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for our sins.
If we truly believe in God and truly understand the sacrifice that Jesus made for us; we will live the way God wants us to live. If we truly trust God then we will trust that the way He wants us to live our lives is best for us. If we trust God more than the world and more than our sinful nature; we will obey His commandments. We will live in a way that is pleasing to God and that demonstrates, to those who have not yet come to know His mercy, the life-altering grace He has for them.
